Pre- and post-natal care
The female body undergoes significant physical changes during the course of a pregnancy. As the baby grows, increased pressure is placed on the pelvic region and this can sometimes lead to the onset of pain and discomfort. The birthing process is similarly stressful for the body and can result in new mothers requiring specialist assistance and advice to resolve ensuing pelvic floor dysfunction issues which can include:
- pelvic girdle pain
- coccyx pain
- vulval pain
- dyspareunia
- conditions relating to bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction in the peri natal period
Control Physio is able to assess and treat these conditions so that mums are able to place their focus back where they want it to be; on their new bub.
